Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Vyapnote ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Vyapnote is a web application for goals, habits, tasks, planning, calendar, reminders, renewals, compliance tracking, and optional AI features. The Service may be offered on a subscription basis with a free trial where applicable.

3. Subscription and Pricing

3.1 Free trial

New users may be eligible for a trial period with full feature access. No payment is required during an active trial unless you choose a paid plan.

3.2 Plans and payment

Paid plans, pricing, and GST (where applicable) are shown on the Subscription page in the app. Payments are processed through Razorpay. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

3.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated at checkout.

4. User Responsibilities

• Keep your account credentials confidential
• Provide accurate information when registering
• You are responsible for activity under your account
• Do not use the Service for illegal or unauthorized purposes

5. Support

Signed-in users may raise support tickets in the app (account, billing, bugs, data/privacy, and other categories). Authorised staff may access ticket and account metadata only to resolve your request. Ticket actions are audit-logged.

We may send transactional emails about your tickets (confirmations, replies, status updates) to your registered email address.

6. Data and Privacy (DPDP Act, 2023)

Your application data is stored securely and is accessible only to you unless you explicitly share access through family or member features. We do not sell your personal data.

6.1 Your rights

• Access: export your data from Settings (JSON).
• Erasure: request account deletion from Settings (grace period applies).
• Withdraw consent: account deletion withdraws ongoing processing of your personal data.

6.2 Before you delete your account

Export your data before requesting deletion. After the grace period, data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered by support.

6.3 Grievance redressal

For privacy requests, open a support ticket with category "Data / privacy (DPDP)" or see our Privacy Policy.

6.4 AI Assistant (optional)

Optional AI features may require separate opt-in and your own API key (bring your own key). Review AI output before saving. Cross-border transfer to your AI provider may apply when you use AI.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for loss of data, service interruption, or damages arising from use of the Service to the extent permitted by law.

8. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
